ANOINTING OF THE SICK

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is a Sacrament of healing. Traditionally this Sacrament was reserved for the gravely ill and dying. While the Sacrament is still ministered in this way, it is further seen as a Sacrament that can be received more than once in a person's life when healing is needed, especially for people experiencing ongoing sickness or poor physical or mental health.

Healing Masses are held at irregular intervals within the parish and are always advertised in the parish bulliten.  The healing masses include the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick.

If a parishioner is going into hospital it is highly recommended that they contact the Parish Office before hand to arrange a time to meet with the Parish Priest who can administer the Sacrament privately.

In case of an emergency, please contact the Parish Office or the Parish Priest.
